A new Douro underlined by history

For many years, the tradition at Quinta de São Luiz was to paintthe stone walls white. These white walls are pieces of historythat are cherished to this day and underline the Douro landscapein a unique way. Pieces of history that sustain the vines anduphold the know-how of many generations.Kopke has now decided to pay homage to this exquisite terroir bybringing back the tradition of painting the stone walls whiteand labelling its DOC Douro wines São Luiz. The wine should be stored in a cool and dry place, sheltered from light and temperature fluctuations, and the bottle should remain in a horizontal position.

  • Fermentation in stainless steel vats at controlled temperature between 10-14ºC. After the alcoholic fermentation, it was left in contact with fine lees until bottling, in order to preserve its complexity and longevity.

  • Bright and light in colour, this elegant wine has fresh and fruity aromas, with notes of raspberry and orange peel. Intense, fresh and at the same time balanced in the mouth, with a complex and persistent finish. A gastronomic rosé, but also excellent as an aperitif or as a first drink.

  • Serve at a temperature between 10 and 12°C. Ideal to pair with seafood dishes, such as shellfish and fish, white meats, and salads. A gastronomic rosé, but also excellent as an aperitif or first drink.
